EFFICIENT BITE - Instead of using one side bite, it utilizes all three sides, resulted in a longer bite lifetime.

Due to the nature of cast iron product, brake discs have a tendency to distort under normal operation condition. Discs rich very high temperature when braking and sudden cooling by air, rain or snow can cause disc distortion, roughness, thickness variation and disc run-out. These defects cause inefficient braking, brake shudder and pulling to one side or the other. On-car disc alignment is considered the most efficient method of rectifying such problems and is recommended by most vehicle manufacturers. The Carman Brake Disc Lathe is a quality product, which will correct disc alignment problems and is readily adaptable to all passenger vehicles including LUVs.

Research based on a random selection of vehicled showed that slippage, vibration and brake shudder caused by run-out and surface roughness significantly reduced braking efficiency which could be resulted in severe danger to driver and passengers. The most common brake system problem is brake vibration. When the brake pedal is depressed a suddering sensation is experienced, the brake pedal pushes back against the foot in a shuddering motion and as more pressure is applied the greater the shuddering effect. The shuddering can also be felt in a steering wheel. When shuddering occurs it is clearly evident that the braking system is not functioning correctly. Disc alignment with the Carman Lathe can remove these problems and improve driver and passenger safety.
